GeoSCAN was introduced to bulgarian farmers at NAZ`s Seminar
Techno Farm Ltd. took part in the 4th edition of National Agro Seminar, organized by NAZ. The seminar was held in Novotel Plovdiv at the end of November 2014.
GeoSCAN program was introduced for the first time on November 27th after discussion about “Digital farming 2.0” in front of the members of the association. At the seminar Dimitar Machuganov, Venelin Delgyanski and Ivo Kumanov revealed the quality of the GeoSCAN program to see “the invisible” referring to the capacity for crop monitoring in the Near Infrared spectrum of the electromagnetic radiation not visible to the human eyes.
GeoSCAN is the first program for satellite crop monitoring in Eastern Europe. The program is utilizing high resolution satellite imagery which is the prerequisite for applying precision farming.
The Techno Farm team took part in the event with a stand, on which farmers had the opportunity to learn more about the program and to subscribe their fields to it for the upcoming 2015 so they could monitor the crop growth based on satellite imagery and the derived specialized GeoSCAN vegetation index.
